This money-hungry system's designed to blow through your wallet faster than a rabid zombie through a trough full of brains. Once it is, you either wait through a minutes-long countdown or spend money for more energy. You need energy to travel, and what little you get is gone in a flash. Random supply notifications give you reason to travel around the map, but then you're hobbled by a limited inventory and limited energy supply. It's gratifying to watch your base take shape, and it's fun crafting things and growing your own food. Roaming zombies and wolves can attack at any time, and you can run into not-so-friendly players who'll kill you for your items. The good thing about auto-play is you can't totally take your eyes off things. To start, there's lots of repetitive gathering, but the auto-play button minimizes some of this. Things start well: Last Day on Earth: Survival has no story preamble to speak of, but it does a fair job of walking you through the basics. Like many other free-to-play games, its strategy for making money relies on giving players a limited energy pool, and the result is a serious fun-reduction. This would be a fully entertaining survival game were it not for the overzealous use of timers to restrict your play. but please do not invest your time, money and energy into a game that cannot be restored! There is no reason for my game to be lost, I have never deleted the app, I have never restarted it - this should not have happened. If you are playing for fun and don’t care for building a case or collecting items then it’s worth playing. I contemplated starting again and was kindly reminded that it takes several months for the game to be worth playing and I worry that the same thing could happen 2 years from now and I’ll be in the same boat. ![]() They provided me with a few freebies which I consider to be a joke after investing years to build up the game, collect items, build a huge base and unlock new areas. I spent weeks communicating with support staff providing evidence in hope they could restore me. I absolutely loved it and had no issues until one day my entire game was deleted and I had to start from scratch. ![]() I have played this game for approximately 2 years, invested a lot of game time and money to get to the higher levels. ![]() I never usually write reviews but if this helps one person - then it was worth it. ![]()
